- Eat a healthy
Eat healthy and balanced diet rich with fruits, vegetables, proteins and cereals. Avoid fried and greasy food which make you put on weight, develop pimples and a victim to several illness.
- Avoid direct sunlight
Too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation causes wrinkles, discoloration, freckles or age spots. Use sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, and wear a hat when you go out in the sun. The sunscreen should be minimum of SPF 20 (those below SPF 20 are not considered much useful)
- Drink lots of water
Drink upto 8 - 10 glasses every-day. This helps to flush out all the toxic in your body and moisturize your skin, giving you a youthful glow. Avoid caffeine food products like tea, coffee and chocolates. Drinking lots of water also reduces chances of developing kidney stones.
- Get plenty of sleep
Though 7 to 9 hours sleep is not practical in today’s fast life, atleast 5-6 hours sleep is necessary through the nights.
- Quit smoking
People who smoke age fast. Same is true for stress and anger as it automatically reflects on your face. Stress and anger goes hand in hand and make you look aged. Try to be cheerful, happy and friendly. A reserved person always have a matured and aged look where as a friendly person always have a tender and youthful look regardless of age.
- Never go to bed with your make-up
As a result, the makeup would seep into your pores and clog them. Thus your skin is not able to breathe freely and relax. So wash your face at the end of the day with soap and water.
- Use a glycerin based soap
If you like to wash your face several times a day or too often, it tends to dry your skin. Glycerin based soaps moisturizes as well as cleanses your skin, giving you that tender and youthful look.
- Exercise regularly
This helps with skin elasticity by improving the blood circulation to all parts of your body and also make you look slim, trim and young.
- Personal hygiene
Personal hygiene is a great factor in maintaining a flawless skin. Have bath twice or thrice a day, change your towel, bed sheets and pillow covers practically every week. to your face once a week This will help to tighten and soften your skin. You can prepare this mask with honey and almonds (ground to a paste). Mix well and apply to your face. Leave it over for an hour or so and later on wash your face with cold water. Keep it longer for better results.
- Have 1 or 2 raw carrots everyday
Carrots are a good source of Vitamins specially Vitamin A . This would improve your complexion and soften your skin texture. Carrots are also very good for eyes and to increase immunity in your body. Also the fiber in the carrots aids in digestion.
- Do not use harsh cosmetics
Using harsh cosmetics would damage your skin. Always select your cosmetic by choosing a good brand, which suits your skin type.
- Do exfoliate your skin regularly
Exfoliation is the process of removing the dead skin cells from you body. Our body does it naturally but sometimes it can be sluggish in doing so, leading to accumulation of this old skin , dirt and other debris, which then lead to other skin problems. The key is to augment this process by using a scrub (a semisolid paste with rough particles in it) once a week. This will help remove the old skin cells and give you a smooth glowing skin.
