Who does not like to drink sugary drinks or soft drinks? Teenagers or youngsters are the number one fans of fizzy drinks and the most likely first victims of side effect.

Sugary Drinks Can Change Body Metabolism in Just a Month

Dr. Kubis’ research have proved that it is very difficult to find teenagers or young people who are not expose to soft drinks, so it became limited for the researchers to fully distinguish the exact result of drinking soft drinks (because of the lack of a group to compare against)

But because Dr. Hans-Peter Kubis is very patient in studying the effect of fizzy drinks’ to our body, he got a chance to gather 11 young adult to perform his experiment. At the conclusion of this experiment, he became more convinced that sugar in soft drinks causes obesity and type 2 diabetes. These side effects are mostly experienced by young adults, teenagers, and even small kids.

Talking about the side effects, according to the result of Dr. Kubis’ observation, if we continuously drink sugary drinks and artificial fruit juices for about a month, our metabolism will become defective and inefficient. Soft drinks contain great amount of sugar and in just one glass, our muscles become dependent to it. In fact, we need eight glasses of water to wash out the sugar that a glass of soft drink leaves in our body.

Fizzy drinks alter our needs for fats. Our body uses fats, protein, and starch to create the necessary energy that it needs to sustain our daily activities. This is the right way of creating energy in our body, but if we become more expose to sugars, our metabolism will become confuse and will try to use the excess sugar for manufacturing energy. If this becomes a regular habit, the result would be obesity and can even lead to type 2 diabetes because it will also decreased sensitivity to insulin in our body.

“This study proves our concerns over sugary drinks have been correct. Not only can regular sugar intake acutely change our body metabolism. In fact it seems that our muscles are able to sense the sugars and make our metabolism more inefficient, not only in the present but in the future as well. This will lead a reduced ability to burn fat and to fat gain. Moreover, it will make it more difficult for our body to cope with rises in blood sugar,” a concern statement of Dr. Kubis.

Their experiment also shows that excessive sugar that came from sugary drinks has a long term effect to someone’s body. It will take you some time to lower down the sugar debris inside you. And if you don’t make some action with this problem, your muscles will continually sense the sugar that you possess and it will continuously use it as fuel to energize your body. Your metabolism will become less active; as a result obesity will become your great enemy.

So, as a conclusion, and as what Dr. Kubis also tell everyone, choose water instead of sugary or artificial fruit juices. Water will clean your body from any chemical impurities that it carries and carrier no side-effects as long as the water is clean.
