The European Centre for Environment & Human Health together with University of Exeter and Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry have found out that people living in a good environment like in coast or seaside have better health condition than those people living far from nature or living in inland and crowded place.

According to the study held by the Centre, the responses actually came from the 48 million people of UK community, those individual living near the sea are healthier than those living in polluted and crowded inlands. Well, Dr. Ben Wheeler admits that there is no concrete proof that coast or seaside gives a better health condition, but he is confident that living near the coast has a huge effect to someone’s life. This result is merely because of the fresh air that an individual breathe in his everyday existence. When a person is breathing fresh air, it relieves him from the stress and depression that he encounters from his work and family. And whenever a person becomes stress free, there is only a little possibility for him to become sick. Stress, depression, and anxiety are the very first reasons why people become weak, and these three elements are also the main reason why diseases occur in our body.

Individual living near the coast also has a lot of physical activity than those in inland. Physical activity includes jogging in the shore, swimming, and playing some sports every weekend or every time they have free time. People living in inlands carry more stress due to pollution, traffic, and too many people walking fast in front of them all the time. It has been discovered that people living in the city have a fast pace life style and this is the reason why most people in the city adapt stress easily, because they do not have time to relax their body and their mind. Unlikely, people in the coast are taking their everyday living slowly and they savor every moment of their life.

Base on the research, it is advisable to spend your time in the parks if you live in a land locked city, during your free time due to negate the stressful scene and polluted air of the city. You could also take trips everyonce in a while to mother nature, or you could just spend your time having picnic in the sea and smelling the sweet breeze of the beach (if you have access to one). Nature is the best reliever of anxiety and stress. This is actually the reason why people in coast have a better health condition than people living in inlands.

Well, if you are someone who lives far from nature, you can still experience good health by maintaining a good work life balance. You do your work in five days and allot a day or two for relaxation. This is the very first solution that the Centre suggested just to make sure that everyone in community carries a stress free, and healthy life.
