Propranolol belongs to a group of drug called beta blockers which is used to treat heart rhythm disorders, high blood pressure, chest pain, tremor, heart attack and migraine.
Do not take if you:
- Have allergy
- Asthma
- Sick sinus syndrome
- Low heart rate
- In case of planned surgery
Things to Tell Your Doctor. If you:
- Enlarged and damaged lungs with breathing disorder
- Diabetes
- Liver cirrhosis
- Psoriasis
- Galactose intolerance
- Low blood pressure
- Kidney disorder
- Tumour of adrenal medulla
- Thyroid dysfunction
- Congestive Heart failure
- Plan to become pregnant or already pregnant
- Lactating mother
What to do if you missed a dose?
If you forget to take your medicine, take another as soon as you remember only if you have more than four hours of time for next dose, then go on as before. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
