Labetalol is available in oral and injection forms.
Oral
Hypertension
Adult: 100 mg twice daily
Elderly: 50 mg twice daily
Intravenous
Emergency treatment of hypertension
Adult: 50 mg injected slowly for at least 1 min, up to 200 mg
Hypertension in pregnancy
Adult: 20 mg per hour
Hypotensive anaesthesia
Adult: 10-20 mg
