Oral
Prostate cancer
Adult: 10 mg three times a day for at least 3 month.
Moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause
Adult: 1-2 mg/day adjusted as necessary; admin can be cyclical (3 week on, 1 week off)
Prophylaxis of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women
Adult: 0.5 mg/day in cyclic regimen (23 days on and 5 days off).
Hypogonadism
Adult: 1-2 mg/day in a cyclic regimen for 3 week on drug, followed by 1 wk drug-free.
Intramuscular
Prostate cancer
Adult: ≥30 mg every 1-2 week.
Moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause
Adult: 1-5 mg every 3-4 week.
Hypogonadism
Adult: 10-20 mg every 4 week.
Transdermal
Moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause
Adult: 0.025 mg/day once weekly
Prophylaxis of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women
Adult: 14 microgram/day once or twice weekly.
Vaginal
Vulvular and vaginal atrophy
Adult: 2-4 g/day of vaginal cream intravaginally for 2 week
Postmenopausal vaginal atrophy
Adult: vaginal ring containing 2 mg of estradiol and keep in place for 90 days.
Urogenital symptoms
Adult: vaginal ring containing 2 mg of estradiol and keep in place for 90 days.
Atrophic vaginitis
Adult: Initial: Insert 20 microgram once daily for 2 week.
