Increases in prothrombin time can occur in patients receiving anticoagulation therapy with Cefixime. Urine sugar should be checked with test strips during treatment with Cefixime as reduction tests can deliver falsely elevated values. Positive direct and indirect anti-globulin (Coombs) tests may occur during use of Cefixime. These may also occur in neonates whose mothers have received Cefixime before delivery.
