Carvedilol belongs to a group of medicines called ‘beta-blockers’. Carvedilol is used to treat chronic heart failure, High blood pressure (hypertension) or Angina (chest pain or discomfort that happens when your heart is not getting enough oxygen).

Carvedilol works by making the blood vessels relax and widen which helps to lower the blood pressure and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood around your body.
