Betaxolol belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers. Betaxolol is used to treat raised pressure of eye (intraocular pressure) which occurs in various conditions including glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It causes reduction in intraocular pressure by minimizing the production of aqueous humor.
