Aripiprazole has the potential to enhance the effect of certain antihypertensive agents. Caution should be exercised when aripiprazole is taken in combination with alcohol or other CNS medicinal products. If aripiprazole is administered concomitantly with medicines known to cause QT prolongation or electrolyte imbalance, caution should be used.
Famotidine reduces Aripiprazole absorption. When concomitant administration of ketoconozole, itraconazole or HIV protease inhibitors with Aripirazole is administered, the dose of Aripirazole should be reduced. Aripirazole dose should be increased when taken concomitantly with carbamazepine, rifampicin, rifabutin, phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone, efavirenz or nevirapine.
