Albendazole is an anti-worm medication. It prevents newly hatched insect worms from growing or multiplying in the body. Albendazole is used to treat certain infections caused by worms such as tapeworm. The drug acts by inhibiting tubulin polymerization and blocking glucose uptake, causing death of the parasite.
