Adapalene is an anti-acne medication belonging to the group of chemicals called as "Retinoids" and is related to Vitamin A. Adapalene is used for treatment of mild to moderate Acne, Psoriasis  and few other skin conditions. It works by increasing the turnover rate of epithelial cells in the skin. Which basically means that it increase the rate of new skin cells replacing the older dead skin cells.

It is used on the face, chest or back for Acne, where the skin may have lots of blackheads, spots and pimples. It is absorbed into the body in very small amounts, and has little effect, except on the surface of the skin.
