Most women start feeling the symptoms of morning sickness by the sixth week after their last menstrual period. The most common symptoms in un-complicated morning sickness are only nausea and vomiting.

Immediately contact a doctor if:

  • The pregnant woman has severe abdominal pain
  • She vomits blood
  • She passes scanty urine
  • The urine is dark
  • She has a high pulse rate and a racing heart
  • She feels weak and faints on standing up due to sudden fall in blood pressure
