There are certain factors that make the pregnant woman more prone to morning sickness.

 

  • History of morning sickness in a previous pregnancy
  • Female fetus.This can increase the risk by about 1.5 times
  • Family history of morning sickness
  • Previous molar (the tissue fails to become a pregnancy) pregnancy
  • Common in unplanned pregnancies
  • Stress
  • Multiple pregnancies such as having twins
  • History of motion sickness
  • Smell of certain food stuff
  • Use of estrogen containing birth control pills before conceiving
  • If the Patient suffers from Migraine
  • Rarely, hyperthyroidism and diabetes
  • Asthma
