Cervicitis is an inflammation or irritation of the lining of the cervix, which is the tip of the uterus or the womb that extends down into the vagina. A similar condition in men involving inflammation in the urinary tube is known as urethritis.
Cervicitis does not cause any visible changes on the skin or any other part of the infected person. It can cause vaginal discharge or vaginal bleeding in some women. Apart from these there would be no visible changes in the appearance of the woman or any part of her body.
