Hair fall or alopecia is a problem which most of us encounter frequently in our day-to-day life. It can be regarded as a ‘slow epidemic’ because at a time many are affected and if you fail to act on time you might regret later. Thus it is believed that the best way to combat hair fall is by preventing it rather than curing it.
Why does hair fall occur?
Some amount of hair fall which might be up to 100 strands per day may be regarded as normal. For better understanding we must know that the life expectancy of our hair on scalp ranges from three to four years. Thus, at a particular point of time most of our hair are growing while the others are done growing. So some of the hair are in resting stage and some in the falling stage. Thus, hair shed is a very normal phenomenon. But if it exceeds the normal range then it should be alarming.
