Asthma is a long-term condition caused by inflammation in the respiratory pathways called bronchi. This can interfere with normal breathing and cause the characteristic wheezing and coughing experienced by asthmatics.

 

Over 300 million people suffer from Asthma worldwide. The condition is more common in women than in men.
