That’s what the Dutch scientists say. In a recent study published in the journal Stroke: Journal of the American Heart Association, researchers concluded that high intake of apples and pears reduces the risk of stroke by 52%.

What is a stroke ?
Brain cell function requires oxygen and glucose from the bloodstream. A stroke, or cerebrovascular accident (CVA), occurs when blood supply to brain is interrupted. And due to this, brain cells die. This can lead to brain damage, and may possibly be fatal.
