Women With Migraines at Higher Risk for Depression
In a recently-concluded study which will be presented at the 64th annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology this April, women who have suffered and are still suffering from migraine headaches may just be at a higher risk for depression.

Understanding Migraine

Faulty Genes Found Responsible for Migraine
The throbbing pain experienced in migraine is due to a genetic defect claimed a recent research. Researchers from Université de Montréal in Canada and other research organizations across the world were involved with the research. It was funded by Genome Canada, Genome Quebec, Emerillon Therapeutics, the Wellcome Trust and the Pfizer pharmaceutical company. It was published in the medical journal Nature Medicine.
