Myopia, commonly known as short sightedness is inability of our eyes to see distant objects clearly while normal vision for nearby objects remains. 

When Does it Occur ?

Simple myopia although can occur at any age, affects mainly kids of school going age and progresses till adulthood when the growth of the body stops. As the eye enlarges there is an increase in myopia and further increase stops when the eyeball stops growing.

This is the rationale behind advice for regular checkups and vision tests.

Cataract is the leading cause of blindness in the developing world, statistics showing that as much as sixty two percent of blindness is caused by cataract. But this figure, although seems worrisome, does not stem from the seriousness of the disease, rather it is due to lack of access to basic health facilities for majority of the population in developing countries.

Toothache usually denotes to pain in and around the teeth. What is Tooth Decay ?

A dental abscess is an accumulation of pus that can develop in the teeth or gums due to bacterial infection. Infection results in an accumulation of pus (dead tissue, live and dead bacteria, and white blood cells) and swelling of the tissues within the tooth. This causes a toothache.

Psoriasis is a chronic, auto-immune skin disease where the skin becomes inflamed, producing red, thickened areas with silvery scales, most often on the scalp, elbows, knees and lower back.
